The chemical composition of clay is similar to the average composition of rocks found at the earth's surface. Silicon, aluminum and iron oxides make up more than 80% of this average composition. HOUSTON -- Yao Ming, the first major Chinese star to break into the NBA, has decided to retire after nine star-crossed seasons with the Rockets, according to league sources.

Yahoo! Sports was the first to report the announcement.

The 30-year-old center played just five games over the past two seasons and has determined that he is unable to make a complete recovery from stress fracture in his left ankle and tendon strain.

At 7-foot-6, Yao entered the league as the No. 1 pick in the 2002 draft and became literally and figuratively the largest symbol of the NBA's growing expansion around the world and particularly in Asia.

Yao was an eight-time NBA All-Star and in five seasons he was voted onto the league's second or third All-NBA team. He averaged 19.1 points and 9.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocked shots in his career.

He arrived in Houston in 2002 as towering and iconic as the durable Great Wall of China, yet over the course of his NBA career Yao's image became increasingly fragile. After missing just two games due to injury in his first three years in the league, he was sidelined for 250 over the past six seasons.

Yao would have become a free agent at end of the current lockout and had spent months trying to rehabilitate his ankle for one more chance at playing. He has said his desire was to remain in Houston to play for the Rockets.

I have comcast for my cable TV and use it as my ISP...

I chose Vonage VOIP... there are only 2 plans...mine costs 14.99 per month for 500 minutes, that includes long distance. The second plan costs 24.99 for unlimited minutes. That's the whole point with VOIP... there is really no such thing as a long distance. Vonage is starting to include lots of European cities as free calls with the 24.99 plan...I believe, that as they add more customers, all long distance calls will be included, no matter where in the world they are.

Anyway, I don't turn my computer off very often...and when I do, it is usually overnight, just to give it a rest.

Because of this... I had to check to see if my phone worked while my PC is turned off. It, certainly, does.

Comcast VOIP is priced way to high..IMO, they are counting on folks who haven't done research into VOIP. They know lots of folks will choose them simply because they use them for cable TV and Internet..and like the "ease" of one bill and get taken in by the multi use discount. That small discount doesn't begin to touch the savings from using Vonage. Likewise, Comcasts digital "regular" phone service is just as overpriced as the other phone companies. Verizon also has a bare bones phone service...not that you will ever, ever hear about it from a CSR...and if you mention it they will try and tell you it doesn't exist.

Anyway, I'm thrilled to have cut the *cord" from high priced phone companies. It is wonderful to see my monthly phone bill is 17.48 (total price with taxes and federal fees). Btw, both plans include lots of features.. free voicemail, caller ID, call forwarding, etc.

Btw, Vonage VOIP service uses your regular, normal phone...it is a quick (and small) snap-on type device that attaches to your modem and PC.. comes with very easy illustrated instructions.. and there is no difference, at all, in sound quality. You might want to check out the website.

As far as paints go, I HIGHLY reccomend sherwin williams P3 elephants behr paints wedding photographer from Privateer Press. A decent mid Grey. Because adding black to things will often make them too dark, and grey is always a part of weapons and metal.

At least two browns, one yellowy and one red-y. The thing about the world is its full of browns - brown leather, brown cloth, brown wood. Browns are absolutely vital and you will use them like crazy. Having a yellow or red or blue to add to them will let you make different shades.

If you like to base, you'll also want a nice light green for grass.

And then a skin colour. One light and one heavy if you like, to avoid having to mix every time you do skin - assuming you're doing lots of skin. If you're doing robots it's less of an issue.

One metallic silver. Again, metal is fricking everywhere, like wood, and gold won't be quite enough for variety.

Finally, I like to get some colours for inspiration purposes, like a colour you would have no idea how to mix and just leaps out as being awesome. That will help motivate you to paint.

Why write something when someone has already done it for me? This advice above is great. I find it hard to paint when I run out of any of the above, right now I am low on a brown and it has been holding me up from starting on my Northern stuff for Heavy Gear.

But all the stuff listed above is a great primer. Once you have all those basics you can be pretty confident that all you need to do is pick the primary colours of what you want to paint and then go for it.

Also keep in mind, when picking skin tones, what culture you are painting. Though having a general skin tone is always a good idea if you are doing any African or Asian skin tones be sure to do a bit of research first. When I first started collecting Yu Jing (pan-Asian) for Infinity I had to learn to paint fleshtones for them and finding the right colours was pretty difficult (love Vallejo for having a perfect set of colours for Asian skin tones). So if your first project isn't full of Caucasians then you will likely want to skip "standard" skin tones right away and get the ones right for the people you are painting.

Something like a good descent jet could hit 70mph.....but like the guy said...........10,000 dollars and something could go 200mph??? idk if something could get to go that fast for only 10,000. Think about it....a car......most motors in cars that cost 10000 dollars cant even top out at 150...so a jet like that would cost a little more I think. But if your not an everyday millionaire lol then just look on the Internet Services for a good scale model. So thats a better answer if anyone runs into these q's!!!!

I'm still pretty new around here, but since the OP didn't specify which type of jet he was asking about, I believe there are really two answers to his question and both responses are correct.

You can get an r/c ducted "jet" that is propelled by what's basically a fan prop housed in a jet type of enclosure. Not a true jet, but they are pretty inexpensive to get into and top speeds are 60-80mph.

It's also true that there are scale size turbine engines that run on actual jet fuel and operate just like a full size jet engine. The engines alone are $3k-$5k and produce 15-50lb thrust so I don't see any reason they couldn't propel a 10lb aircraft to 200mph.

These days Jets are broken down into 3 primary types..

1. Push/Puller PropJets.. Look like a jet but have an electric or glo engine mounted in either of the configurations mentioned

2. EDF.. The new front currently replacing the old glo Ducted Fan aircraft (you can still get some glow). These are now getting upto the kinds of thrust that the glo models could put out, and even some get into the range of turbines. Requires Batteries and Speed controllers that handle massive currents though.

3. Turbine.. Minature Jet engines, burn kero for fuel and run at 500 deg C and above. Put out lots of thrust and sound/look like the real thing.

At first I thought that this particular book in the Evil Genius windows seven desk top series might be a bit too cheesy for my taste, but it does have some very interesting content. As with all of the evil genius books, you should not expect a deep amount of theory on the inner workings of the various electronic Spying Gadgets devices discussed, but there is enough theory and construction detail that you will learn much about how to modify and control devices and be able to produce some interesting projects. The Cheap book does spend quite a bit of space on the operational details of cameras including digital photo enhancement, hooking up a web cam, monday android phone hotels in singapore software device and long range digital photography. This book has the quality and attention to detail in the instructions, diagrams endless, and photographs that, quite frankly, have been missing from recent entries in the Evil Genius project books.

Is there such a thing as a camera organizer? I have a couple of walkin closets maid shelves piled with camera clutter. I'd like to find some sort of karlas box to organize it all. Like a camera bag, but more of a box. Something with compartments for SLR bodies, lenses, compact cameras, and now that I have a digital camera, memory cards. Oh, yes, and batteries. It seems that every camera takes a different battery. I know I can toss it all in a big cardboard box, but I'd love a little organization. And padding.

Why don't you just put the gear into your camera bag and put the bag on a flat shelf?

If you really do want a Closet Organizers, I use the plastic shoe boxes sold by The Container Store - they come in various sizes and are stackable. I just drill 2 very tiny holes in the sides to allow the moisture out - otherwise, with the top sealed on, condensation can happen. Very convenient and very inexpensive. The fact that they are clear plastic also makes it very easy to see what you have in them.

I use a separate box for each body, for each lens, and then separate box for "kits" like my Quantum equipment, my SPlit ND kit which holds my filters, holders, adapter rings together, or my Nikon polarizer kit which holds the polarizers together with their respective lens hoods and so on.

Another box holds both of my TC's, a separate box for black and white filters, another for color filters, you get the idea.

As far as the loose powder goes, I also really like it. I don't like their eyeshadows too much, I bought some once and just threw them out the next day. I have 2 of the loose shadows they carry and they are great too.

I made a special trip to an outlet mall an hour away and bought two trios for $8.95 each! I just can't find anyone else around here that sells them.

What more can I say? It's like a grand-daddy of musashi autoblog KOTDP. It's like a combination of ninja and shield Pirates! (the old Microprose "three or four minigames stuck together" method, see also Covert Action) and a simplified Darklands via the menu gameplay. Kinda gets held up because the war and swordfighting minigames (Sid Meier did the sword game) are pretty shitty. The Easy sword of the samurai melee minigame is well balanced and difficult with an annoyingly effective swarm AI.

Pretty much belongs to the same school of awesome as Pirates, Covert Action and Darklands. I loved how you got to play through it from a lowly samurai all the way to Shogun, with some gameplay features only becoming availabe when you reach a certain rank. Just like the other games mentioned it seemed like you found new things each time you played it. A true classic from the golden age of Microprose.

It's a great, great time waster. I tried it for the first time last year and was playing for two days straight trying to get the 300 year shogunate. It also plays fine, if you can get the shortucuts in the manual (otherwise battles will seem quite plain). It's a collage of different minigames. They can get annoying in the harder difficulties, but never take long.

Sure it could have been deeper in the politics, inheritance mechanics (like some turn based strategies) and the darklands style narratives, better minigame levels (they are completely random) still great.

Series 3 of Primeval will be back in the new year what can we expect for her in the new season?

Well we have got new characters, new creatures again it gets more brave plus there are more episodes this time as well. Abby’s journey, in terms of something that is different from the previous series, a blast from the past, and I won’t say who, but she has somebody who comes back from her past that shocks people especially Connor shaking up their relationship which is exciting.

Also what’s exciting is that we have new characters we have got Jason Flemming coming into the group and Laila Rouass, new blood was very good on set this time refreshing and changing it up a bit. It’s been a long year because we have done ten episodes this time, instead of six and then seven, and like Andrew said when you are working on something like this your whole world is that so it’s nice at the moment to take a back step and a breather and be Hannah and Andrew at home.

What was it about Abby that drew you to the project?

Completely how strong she was, how feisty she was and how she didn’t rely on anyone else and how she was a strong female really drew me to the part and I think that all those things are really important in human nature to get where you want to be really be.

Also her love for animals it was just a really cool (laughs), Andrew is laughing at me now, we saw a programme last night and this girl was being asked a question by Vanessa Feltz and she was answering it like Miss World and I just reminded myself of her just then. Yeah but the strongness of her character was just really cool.

And how involved are you in the stunt aspect of the show?

As much as I can be but there will be points on set when you are against time, more often than not they will have a stunt double there and they will have your wig on and your clothes, so they are there as back up but I get involved with most of the stunts. But sometimes on series three we were running two sets at the same time she was doing a little bit for me on one set and I was doing a little bit on another set.

Sure, one more is fine, but don't do the thing where you make a fan with one hand and close it with the same hand. It's fine for showing off to your family, and fine to do on stage if your not going to ask the audience to shuffle them. but not if you do ask the audience to shuffle them.

Not really for performing infront of a big crowd, but if your starting off, make a video of your trick, or practice infront of a mirror. That way you can see what you audience will see, and you can make sure that when your fan the cards, your audience can't see them. Then practice infront of your family, and when you get pretty skilled, oyur ready to go onto bigger and better things.

Dont speak fast. I mean it, if you talk as fast as Osain Bolt can run, after your done your audience will feel a little, shocked, but not in a good way. Tone it down. Even if your screaming in your head I GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE!!!!! Tone it down, it will feel like an eternity, but your audience will think your going great. (Don't blabber or stutter or sweat or start to make mistakes, it doesn't make it as good as it was. If you have a stutter, belive me, its a blessing in disguise.)

The chemical name of adapalene is 6-[3-(1-adamantyl)-4-methoxyphenyl]-2-naphthoic acid. Adapalene is a white to off-white powder which is soluble in tetrahydrofuran, sparingly soluble in ethanol, and practically insoluble in water. The molecular formula is C28H28O3 and molecular weight is 412.52. Adapalene is represented by the following structural formula:
CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY: Adapalene is a chemically stable, retinoid-like compound. Biochemical and pharmacological profile studies have demonstrated that adapalene is a modulator of cellular differentiation, keratinization, and inflammatory processes all of which represent important features in the pathology of acne vulgaris.
Mechanistically, adapalene binds to specific retinoic acid nuclear receptors but does not bind to the cytosolic receptor protein. Although the exact mode of action of adapalene is unknown, it is suggested that topical adapalene may normalize the differentiation of follicular epithelial cells resulting in decreased microcomedone formation.
PHARMACOKINETICS: Absorption of adapalene through human skin is low. Only trace amounts (<0.25 ng/mL) of parent substance have been found in the plasma of acne patients following chronic topical application of adapalene in controlled clinical trials. Excretion appears to be primarily by the biliary route.
INDICATION AND USAGE: DIFFERIN® Gel is indicated for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: DIFFERIN® Gel should not be administered to individuals who are hypersensitive to adapalene or any of the components in the vehicle gel.
WARNINGS: Use of DIFFERIN® Gel should be discontinued if hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients is noted. Patients with sunburn should be advised not to use the product until fully recovered.
PRECAUTIONS: General: If a reaction suggesting sensitivity or chemical irritation occurs, use of the medication should be discontinued. Exposure to sunlight, including sunlamps, should be minimized during the use of adapalene. Patients who normally experience high levels of sun exposure, and those with inherent sensitivity to sun, should be warned to exercise caution. Use of sunscreen products and protective clothing over treated areas is recommended when exposure cannot be avoided. Weather extremes, such as wind or cold, also may be irritating to patients under treatment with adapalene.
Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, angles of the nose, and mucous membranes. The product should not be applied to cuts, abrasions, eczematous skin, or sunburned skin.

These are most likely to occur during the first two to four weeks and will usually lessen with continued use of the medication. DRUG INTERACTIONS: As DIFFERIN® Gel has the potential to produce local irritation in some patients, concomitant use of other potentially irritating topical products (medicated or abrasive soaps and cleansers, soaps and cosmetics that have a strong drying effect, and products with high concentrations of alcohol, astringents, spices, or lime) should be approached with caution. Particular caution should be exercised in using preparations containing sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic acid in combination with DIFFERIN® Gel. If these preparations have been used, it is advisable not to start therapy with DIFFERIN® Gel until the effects of such preparations in the skin have subsided.
CARCINOGENESIS, MUTAGENESIS, IMPAIRMENT OF FERTILITY: Carcinogenicity studies with adapalene have been conducted in mice at topical doses of 0.3, 0.9, and 2.6 mg/kg/day and in rats at oral doses of 0.15, 0.5, and 1.5 mg/kg/day, approximately 4-75 times the maximal daily human topical dose. In the oral study, positive linear trends were observed in the incidence of follicular cell adenomas and carcinomas in the thyroid glands of female rats, and in the incidence of benign and malignant pheochromocytomas in the adrenal medullas of male rats.
No photocarcinogenicity studies were conducted. Animal studies have shown an increased tumorigenic risk with the use of pharmacologically similar drugs (e.g., retinoids) when exposed to UV irradiation in the laboratory or to sunlight. Although the significance of these studies to human use is not clear, patients should be advised to avoid or minimize exposure to either sunlight or artificial UV irradiation sources.
In a series of in vivo and in vitro studies, adapalene did not exhibit mutagenic or genotoxic activities.
PREGNANCY: Teratogenic effects. Pregnancy category C. No teratogenic effects were seen in rats at oral doses of adapalene 0.15 to 5.0 mg/kg/day, up to 120 times the maximal daily human topical dose. Cutaneous route teratology studies conducted in rats and rabbits at doses of 0.6, 2.0, and 6.0 mg/kg/day, up to 150 times the maximal daily human topical dose exhibited no fetotoxicity and only minimal increases in supernumerary ribs in rats. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Adapalene should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.
NURSING MOTHERS: It is not known whether this drug is excreted in human milk. Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, caution should be exercised when DIFFERIN® Gel is administered to a nursing woman.
PEDIATRIC USE: Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients below the age of 12 have not been established.
ADVERSE REACTIONS: Some adverse effects such as erythema, scaling, dryness, pruritus, and burning will occur in 10-40% of patients. Pruritus or burning immediately after application also occurs in approximately 20% of patients. The following additional adverse experiences were reported in approximately 1% or less of patients: skin irritation, burning/stinging, erythema, sunburn, and acne flares. These are most commonly seen during the first month of therapy and decrease in frequency and severity thereafter. All adverse effects with use of DIFFERIN® Gel during clinical trials were reversible upon discontinuation of therapy.
OVERDOSAGE: DIFFERIN® Gel is intended for cutaneous use only. If the medication is applied excessively, no more rapid or better results will be obtained and marked redness, peeling, or discomfort may occur. The acute oral toxicity of DIFFERIN® Gel in mice and rats is greater than 10 mL/kg. Chronic ingestion of the drug may lead to the same side effects as those associated with excessive oral intake of Vitamin A.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: DIFFERIN® Gel should be applied once a day to affected areas after washing in the evening before retiring. A thin film of the gel should be applied, avoiding eyes, lips, and mucous membranes.

I love it! I have a leg lamp stocking, 2 snowglobes (1 is of the leg lamp and the other is Ralphie in his bunny suit) I have 3 ornaments and they all say something from the movie (the tongue on the flagpole, bunny suit and leg lamp in crate), I have pieces how to make a green lottery pudding from the village (Ralphie's house, Higbee's store, the elementary school and Pulaski's Candy Store), I also have the mini-leg lamp phone number as well. This year I'm asking for the family car and maybe the Bumpass's house.
Just came inside from greeting a guest address. I work with this lady and she has an autistic child. It seems they came by last night and the girl just sat and stared and watched the show. It seems she brought it up again on their way home and earlier today so mom brought her back tonight.
What a thrill Card Of Christmas Music Santa Clauses... and joy it was to watch this girl never take her eyes off of our lights. If momma will bring her, she will come back every night to watch the lights.
It was freezing outside while talking to them, but my heart stayed warm throughout. What a great feeling to know that our effort has touched someone like this.

My reef aquarium club does a Christmas ornament exchange every year. We do that "dirty Santa" game where you can steal the ornament from the people who opened theirs before you opened yours.
One year someone brought this horrendous gold ball that played AWFUL OBNOXIOUS music in a really shrill voice. It's like this thing was only ever meant to annoy people. That one kept getting brought back each year and passed around and around.

I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with this or if there are methods (whether by palmistry, astrology, mayans calendar, endoftheworld, prediction, doomsday in etc.) that indicate when a person will die. I've tried viewing my death under hypnosis and through remote viewings and seen different dates. I believe partially this is because the date of death is not set in stone and can be changed through the act of foreknowledge itself. So this has always been a point of interest for me.

So my question is has anyone had experience with predicting their death or that of others or foreseeing their own death or that of others. Just curious to what methods you used and if they had proven accurate. If you used several methods were they consistent or did they give you conflicting data? If so, which method seemed to produce the most accurate results?

The Recycler virus is malicious code that originated from the worm W32.Lecna.H. It infiltrates a computer system through the Windows Autorun spyware removers feature. The virus enters via permanent media uninstall, as well as removable vocal scratch devices (including CD-ROMs, DVDs, USB drives, memory sticks, laser hair, drm, wart and other devices). The Recycler copies all autorun.inf files on each drive, and duplicates itself onto all active computer drives.

An infection by the Recycler virus results in a hidden folder per active drive. The virus executes itself every time removable media is inserted. The Laptop Computers Adware Remover virus alters the System Registry with a batch file and activates itself during start-up. Anti-virus programs may identify the presence of the Recycler virus, although many of these will be unable to eliminate it from the system. The virus is resistant to removable even after formatting of any the removable media.

Upon installation of the Recycler virus, your browser will be redirected to malicious websites, upon which your computer will automatically download additional malicious code. This code will then be able to fleece various private information, including account numbers, credit card data, passwords, social security information, and usernames stored within the system.

Recycler Virus Manual Removal

1. End the Recycler Virus Processes. Press the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete keys simultaneously to access Windows Task Manager. [Ctrl + Alt + Esc] will also allow access to the program. Look for the [ctfmon.exe] process, select it, and choose ‘End Process’.

2. Erase the Recycler Virus Files. Click on the ‘Start’ menu on your desktop and proceed to the ‘Search’ option. Go to ‘For Files and Folders’ and choose the [ctfmon.exe] file. Erase this file.

3. Restart your system in ‘Safe Mode’. Access the command prompt and disable the following folders and files associated with [autorun.inf]:

• Hidden folders

• System folders

• Read-only attributes

4. Change the associated Recycler Virus entries in the Windows Registry. Go to the Windows Registry Editor. Modify the ‘NoDriveTypeAutoRun’ entries which have the ‘03fffffff’ value in these registry folders:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWARE

5. Download any reputable antivirus software. Make sure that the virus database is updated. Reboot your system and do a thorough scan after cleaning up the Recycle Bin.
